A warm story for a time of crisis. Michel (Jean-Pierre Darroussin) and Marie-Claire (Ariane Ascaride) lead a happy life. They have been loving each other for almost 30 years and now have grown-up children, charming grandkids, and a circle of close friends. They are proud of their beliefs and life choices. Michel belongs to a labour union, but he loses his job. The couple copes with this difficult situation calmly. One day, they are robbed and beaten up by masked men who take their savings. In this situation the couple cannot go on a trip to Kilimanjaro, which was funded as a present by their friends. They will be very surprised once they learn about the perpetrator’s situation. A nostalgic portrayal of the French middle class which believes in ideals and human solidarity.
