Paralysed millionaire Philippe (François Cluzet) is looking for a worker who will join his group of nurses and will carry out the most difficult duties that require physical strength. One of the volunteers is Driss (Omar Sy), an immigrant from Senegal, a young black man from the suburbs who, as it later turns out, has just gotten out of jail. The millionaire does not mind that because he is impressed by Driss’ sense of humour and serenity. The clash of those two completely different worlds is the beginning od an unusual friendship and incredible adventures, which filled the theatres with peals of unconstrained laughter.

This unpretentious comedy, based on partially based on true events, was an unexpectedly great box-office success in France, in some parts of the country outshining even this year’s Oscar nominee for best movie, “The Artist.”

Olivier Nakache (1973), Eric Toledano (1971)
A duo of French directors working together since the ’90s. The co-operation of these artists resulted in numerous short films and several feature comedies, the blockbuster “Intouchables” certainly standing out among them.
