Documentary film aiming to portray a certain social environment. Answering simple questions in front of the camera are students of junior high school, who have difficulties in learning, social adjustment, or come from broken or pathological families. For the first time they are trying to answer questions such as “who are you? what do you want from life? what are your memories? what do you regret?” and so on. It turns out that what they miss the most is the closeness of family, the feeling of being really important to somebody.

Marcin Bortkiewicz (1976)
Polish director. Graduated from the University of Gdańsk and the Wajda School. Since 1991, he has been working with the Ośrodek Teatralny Rondo as actor, scriptwriter and theatre director. His “Drawn from Memory,” awarded at the 2011 Two Riversides, was shown at this year’s Cannes Festival as a part of the prestigious “Directors’ Fortnight.”
