In Paris Helena witnesses her son’s suicide. Noah discloses the terrible truth on his father’s abuses but Helena refuses to believe him. The son throws himself off the balcony into the darkness of the night. Since then Helena’s life changes radically and struggling for survival becomes seeking revenge.
Asjun is a dreamer who lives with her father and her son Ilkin. In high mountains of Macedonia life is harsh and simple. It has a different rhythm, striving to survive another day is the main goal of the family. Asjun wants to reunite with her son’s father.
This is a story of two different mothers. One who must punish to live and the other who must bear everyday punishment. The women carry an internal rebellion within.
