Documentary film “Galumphing” is the effect of Kamila Józefowicz’s half-year stay in Brazil, where she met the protagonist of her film and her interesting lifestyle. Danna gave up the normalised life imposed on her by society to find her peace: far from people, close to nature. For over ten years she has been living alone on the coast of Brazil, far from civilisation and its amenities. On her piece of land she grows vegetables, keeps bees, practices yoga, and expresses her experiences and emotions through painting.

Kamila Józefowicz (1981)
Director, camerawoman and editor of short feature films and documentaries. Graduated from the directing faculty at the Academy of Film  and Television and the Higher School of Visual Arts and New Media in Warsaw. Apart from film, the author also does photography.
