Before moving to Germany, Shachar plans to propose marriage to his girlfriend, hoping that she will accompany him. His grandmother, a Holocaust survivor, will stop at nothing to prevent him from going to Germany. The conflict becomes inevitable. Cinematic exploration into two different worlds, where two generations unleash their difficulties and judgments with the backdrop of post- World War II.
Ariel Weisbrod
A film student at the University of Tel-Aviv. His Bachelor diploma work was made in cooperation with NANA10, a leading Israeli internet portal. A short film “The road to Tel-Aviv”, directed by Weisbrod, was featured at festivals all over the world.
Yossi Meiri
His portfolio encompasses several short films, screened in, inter alia, Cannes, Locarno, Moscow and Montreal. His “Lavan” was recently awarded Best Cinematography Award at European Independent Film Festival (2011). Works as a director, producer, light designer and special effects creator.
