Frequently described as „an object of desire”, this time she stars in a film on herself. Apart from a more orderly examination the character’s life, the documentary is at the same time an attempt to capture the uniqueness of an exceptional actress. In nine scenes we witness not only the most significant facts from her life but also listen to memories of her friends and their vivid anecdotes. The film goes behind the curtains of how the image of one of the most famous contemporary actresses was being born.
Rampling herself generates unique, vague aura around herself. Some people find her controversial and social taboo-breaking whereas others treat her as an icon of style and elegance. Apart from all this, Rampling is a talented, avant-garde artist who selects her roles guided with her instinct and not cold calculation. Her career started on a catwalk, after that she cooperated with the most renowned directors such as Luchino Visconti, Francois Ozon, Woody Allen, Liliana Cavani and Nagisa Ōshima.
