An adaptation of Tadeusz Kurtyk’s (also known as Henryk Worcell) novel “Hotel Pacific” (1936), which was famous before the war. It was based on the author’s own observations which he made while being a waiter at the Grand Hotel in Cracow. Through the life of Roman Boryczko (Marek Kondrat) we can see the “backstage” of the restaurant from the ’30s. “Hotel Pacific” received particular critical acclaim for the performances of the experienced Roman Wilhelmi and the debutant Marek Kondrat.
