Marek Koterski at the Two Riversides

22|06|2012

He has shown us how to live in the “Madhouse” (“Dom Wariatów”), what the “Day of the Wacko” (“Dzień Świra”) looks like and that “We’re All Christs” (“Wszyscy jesteśmy Chrystusami”), and finally  – he has proven to us in black and white that “Chicks Are Just Different” (“Baby są jakieś inne”). Marek Koterski – the biggest outsider of Polish cinema – will be the special guest of the 6th Two Riversides Film and Art Festival.

It is only at the Two Riversides that you will have the one-off occasion to talk to Marek Koterski. His unconventional films, artistic view of reality, and the deep observation of life and human relations, not deprived of irony, inspires many questions that can be posed during the “Meeting with the Author.” Other guests of this series were, among others: Bob Rafelson, Bruno Barreto, Sławomir Grünberg, Andrzej Titkow, Jerzy Stuhr, Sławomir Idziak, Piotr Szulkin, Filip Bajon, Jan Hřebejk, Andrzej Fidyk, Grzegorz Królikiewicz.

Marek Kondrat also accepted the invitation to the Two Riversides. He was the one who played the role of Adam Miauczyński in Marek Koterski’s three most important films. At the Two Riversides he will be the be the focus of the actor’s retrospective in the “And God Created Actor” series, as a part of which we will also have the chance to see chosen films and performances of the TV Theatre, including the remastered version of Janusz Majewski’s film “Hotel Pacific” (“Zaklęte rewiry”).
